Welcome to DOF Reality! Follow these steps in order to take your new platform from the boxes to its first motion session. Each step points to a separate article with full instructions.

1. Check Your Shipment
Inspect the boxes for damage and confirm the main components and accessories arrived. Keep the packaging until setup is complete. For help, open What to Expect When Your Platform Arrives.

2. Prepare Your Space
Place the platform on a firm, level floor with room to move in every direction. Keep walls, furniture, displays, loose cables, children, and pets outside the motion area. See Prepare Your Room and Workspace.

3. Assemble the Platform
Use the instructions for your model to assemble the frame, motors, and linkages. Do not connect power until the assembly guide tells you to. Start with Choose the Correct Assembly Instructions and Tools, Equipment and Help You Will Need.

4. Install the Seat and Controls
Secure your seat and racing or flight controls with the proper mounts. Check balance and leave enough cable slack for movement. Follow Install Your Seat, Wheel, Pedals or Flight Controls.

5. Connect the Cables
Connect motors, control boxes, sensors or encoders, USB, and power exactly as shown for your model. Keep cables away from rods, joints, motors, and pinch points. Complete the Cable Connection and Cable-Management Guide before applying power.

6. Connect Sim Racing Studio or MagicBox
Windows PC: Install Sim Racing Studio (SRS), activate the license (found in the shipping email from DOF Reality) in SETUP → License. Then in SETUP → Hardware, go to MOTION and select DOF REALITY as the Manufacturer and your specific Model, and then click Save. Continue when Motionbox is green. See Install Sim Racing Studio and Connect the Platform.

PlayStation or Xbox: Follow Console Setup with MagicBox and confirm the console title is supported.

7. Test Platform Movement
Clear the motion area and keep the platform unoccupied. In SRS, open SETUP → Hardware → Motion Test and select Start Test. Use small inputs and test one axis at a time while watching the platform and cables. Follow Run Your First Movement Test.

Turn off platform power immediately for uncontrolled movement, contact with another object, a tight cable, abnormal noise, overheating, smoke, or an electrical smell.

8. Configure Your First Simulation
Choose one supported title. In SRS, go to Games → PC, complete its CONFIG or INSTRUCTIONS steps, then begin with a default profile and low motion intensity. Follow Configure Your First Game for telemetry, UDP settings, and launch order.

If Motion Test works but the title does not produce motion, recheck the title setup before troubleshooting platform hardware.

Before You Start

•  Seat, controls, mounts, and platform fasteners are secure.

•  Cables have enough slack and remain clear of moving parts.

•  The platform has safe clearance in every direction.

•  Every axis passes Motion Test.

•  Your supported title produces controlled motion at low intensity.

•  You can quickly turn off or disconnect platform power.

Complete Final Safety and Readiness Check, then enjoy your platform and adjust motion gradually.
