Cable Connection and Cable-Management Guide

Modified on Thu, 10 Sep at 2:26 PM

Correct cable routing protects connectors and keeps cables out of moving parts. Complete this check before applying power and repeat it after installing each accessory.

Connect the Platform

Use the wiring diagram in your model's assembly guide. Match every motor, sensor or encoder, brake, control-box, USB, and power connection by its label, color, number, and position.

Push connectors fully into place without forcing them. Do not swap connectors or alter wiring to change motion direction.

Separate Moving and Stationary Cables

Identify which cables move with the seat or frame and which remain connected to stationary equipment. Create a smooth service loop where the two areas meet.

The loop must be long enough for full movement but controlled so it cannot fall into rods, joints, motors, wheels, or the floor beneath the platform.

Safe Cable Routing

•  Keep cables away from shafts, cranks, rods, bearings, and pinch points.

•  Protect cables from sharp edges and hot surfaces.

•  Avoid tight bends at plugs and strain on USB or sensor connectors.

•  Route power and data cables separately where practical.

•  Keep cables out of walkways and away from chair or seat-rail movement.

•  Mount control boxes where they stay ventilated and outside the motion path.

Use reusable hook-and-loop straps during setup. Tighten or replace them only after the full movement range has been checked.

Check the Route Before Power

With power disconnected, inspect the platform from every side. Where the assembly instructions permit, move or position the frame gently through its expected range while watching each cable.

No cable should tighten, rub, snag, pull a connector, enter a linkage, or support the weight of another component.

Check Again During Motion Test

Keep the platform unoccupied and test one axis at a time using small inputs. Have another adult watch the cable loops from outside the motion area. Stop and disconnect power if a cable tightens, moves toward a mechanism, or pulls on a plug.

After the test, turn off and unplug platform power before adjusting any cable.

Final Cable Check

•  Every connection matches the model diagram.

•  Plugs are fully seated and undamaged.

•  Moving cables have smooth, controlled slack.

•  No cable can touch a motor, rod, joint, sharp edge, or hot surface.

•  Stationary equipment cannot be pulled by platform movement.

•  Power controls remain accessible.
