If Power Supplies do not light up LED

Modified on Thu, 2 Oct at 3:11 AM

The power supplies have triggered a safety mechanism, due to Cytron board failure or 5KP24CA diode failure or power module Mean Well LRS-350-24 failure.

Please follow these steps to diagnose the issue with your power modules:

  1. Disconnect the motors:

  2. For power modules where the green LED is off:

    • Disconnect Diode (#1 in pic.)  Does the green power LED turn on?

      • Yes  The issue is with this diode. Replace diode 5KP24CA (available from us or locally).

      • No  Proceed to step 3.

  3. Disconnect Cytron MD13S wire (#2 in pic.)  Does the green power LED turn on?

    • Yes  The issue is with the Cytron MD13S (replace it, available from us or locally).

    • No  Replace the power module LRS-350-24 (replace it, available from us or locally).

If the actions described above didn’t help, then the cause is most likely a broken wire between the motherboard and the power supply.

If all three green LEDs are off, check the three 115/230 V switches on the bottom of the control box – they must match your local power grid. Switches should only be changed when the equipment is powered off.

If the switches are set correctly but all three green LEDs are still off, since the power supplies are connected in parallel, the next step is to check the motherboard. Please send us a clear, high-resolution photo of this board with the unit powered on, so we can see which LEDs on the board are lit.
