Diagnosing the Issue

1. Record a video:

  • Close SRS and SMC3utils and DOF Reality Tools.

  • Turn on the motion simulator.

  • Record a video of the fault.

  • Record a video of the rig running (calibration).

2. Screenshot config (only boards STM):

  • Download the latest version https://dofreality.com/tools.zip 

  • Unzip all contents into any local folder on your PC.

  • Launch “DOF Reality Tools (run as administrator).exe” only after confirming that there is a single device in Device Manager. If this does not work, edit the COM Port match in the “DOF Reality Tools.ini” file to match the port number in Device Manager/COM & LPT. This application does not work with Arduino boards.

  • Click “full Info” and take a screenshot.

  • Repeat for the other control unit if you have two (H6/P6 models).

3. Sine Mode Test & Screenshots:

  • Launch “SMC3Utils 1.02.exe” only after confirming that there is a single device in Device Manager/COM & LPT. If this does not work, edit the COM Port match in the “SMC3Utils.ini” file to match the port number in Device Manager/COM & LPT.

  • In SMC, check that the calcs/sec field is not empty. If the calcs/sec field remains blank, there is no communication between the control board and the SMC application. Try manually entering the correct port number in the “SMC3Utils.ini” file and reconnect. Also, it can be caused by an SRS application not turned off, a bad USB cable, a bad USB connector, or a defective control board.

  • Run the Sine mode test in SMC for at least 1 minute.

  • After this time, take proper screenshots. Use only Windows Snipping Tool or a similar screenshot tool (avoid using your phone).

  • Name the screenshots logically (e.g., “L1” – motor #1 in the Left control unit) and repeat this process for all motors.

4. Send Your results to support@dofreality.com

  • fault video and text description.

  • video of the rig running (calibration).

  • screenshot config (1 or 2, if you have H6/P6)

  • SMC screenshots (2 or 3 or 6, if you have H2/P2 or H3/P3 or H6/P6)

  • order number or account from which the purchase was made

If the server does not allow posting photos and videos because of the large size, put them on the cloud, e.g. Google, and give access to everyone who has a link.

If you can't send any of these files, please write at what stage you had difficulty with it.
